Administrative Medical Assistant (Billing & Coding)

This program prepares graduates for the administrative medical front office.  The Administrative Medical Assistant program provides the student with the skills necessary to manage the day-to-day operations of a medical facility with an emphasis on medical billing, coding and health unit coordinating.  The student will receive training that emphasizes the administrative and business aspects of overseeing a medical office.

We place emphasis on terminology and the practices and procedures commonly associated with the operation, administration and record keeping, billing and coding of a medical office.  Upon graduation, the student will be able to pursue entry level positions with healthcare agencies, clinics, physician’s offices, group practices, hospitals,  governmental agencies,  long-term healthcare facilities, home health agencies and private insurance companies.

The student will earn certifications in First Aid and CPR through the American Red Cross.

This program prepares a student to challenge for Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) certification.  This certification will prove to the employer that you know how to use Microsoft Office applications efficiently and productively.
